Our nitrocellulose membranes are specifically designed to be the ideal solid phase for all diagnostic lateral flow immunoassays
Nitrocellulose is the globally preferred membrane substrate in diagnostic lateral flow assays where antigen-antibody binding occurs, e.g., pregnancy tests, HIV tests and C-reactive protein (CRP) detection. When choosing a nitrocellulose membrane for lateral flow point-of-care tests (POCT), quality assurance and membrane consistency are critical to give you confidence in your test performance from development through manufacturing to implementation.

What makes our nitrocellulose membranes the best choice for your lateral flow rapid test?
Feature Listing
- Clear & defect-free membrane surface
- Predictable result time
- Accuracy & reproducibility of lateral flow test results
- Quality assured manufacturing
- Defined lot-to-lot consistency
capillary speed
Each membrane type of our nitrocellulose membrane family has a specific range of capillary speed
CN 95
CN 95 membrane is perfectly suited for high viscous samples and produces test strips with very short response times. Consequently CN 95 is the membrane of choice when a quick response is desirable.
CN 160
Test strips with CN 160 membrane have the longest response time, but the assays will show the highest sensitivity.
CN 110 & CN 140
According to the application, reagents and manufacturing conditions CN 110 and CN 140 membranes provide a different optimum for speed, specificity and sensitivity.
wide selection
Our wide selection of nitrocellulose membranes allows you to find the one that best meets the requirements of your diagnostic assay.
