Fluorescent Polystyrene Microspheres For Lateral Flow

Our fluorescent polystyrene microspheres can be widely used in lateral flow, phagocytosis studies, pore size determination, biochips, microfluidics, and other scientific research fields.

Fluorescent polystyrene microspheres

Fluorescent polystyrene microspheres are monodisperse microspheres containing high-brightness fluorescent dyes. The fluorescent dyes are embedded in the microspheres, which can effectively prevent fluorescence quenching and reduce the influence of environmental factors on fluorescence intensity. Some functional groups do not affect immunoassays, detection, etc. This range of particle emission wavelengths covers the entire visible light range from 460 nm to 750 nm (excitation wavelengths are typically 30 – 40 nm lower than emission wavelengths).

Fluorescent Polystyrene Microspheres

Lateral flow and other rapid tests rely on fluorescent microspheres for detection of binding events or signal enhancement.

Fluorescent Polystyrene Microspheres suitable for:

Lateral flow Assay

Lateral flow and other rapid tests rely on fluorescent microspheres for detection of binding events or signal enhancement.

flow cytometric assays

Addressable bead populations may be created with different intensities of fluorescence for the development of multiplexed flow cytometric assays.

ELISA

Small fluorescent spheres can function as reporters for ELISA-type assays.

cell tracking

Fluorescent microspheres are also useful for fluid tracing, cell tracking, and phagocytosis studies.

Features

Our fluorescent polymer microspheres are available in many particle sizes, colors, densities, and excitation and emission wavelengths, can be stored at room temperature or dispersed in aqueous media without degrading their fluorescent properties. The fluorophore is embedded into the polymer matrix to ensure that it will not leach out and will not diminish performance over time. With this strategy, surface groups remain available for conjugating ligands (proteins, antibodies, nucleic acids, etc.) to the surface of the bead, which is important for analyte-detection and immunoassay applications.

Our most common internal fluorophores include:
